Disillusioned Black Liberation

My race used to make me want to go to war
Today, I regard everything differently
Considerable leaders have come and left
Distinct fight but still persistent
With these changes, I wonder: Why are we so quick to compromise?
Easily allow strangers into our camp?
We commenced by selling our own for money
This mentality is still alive
Bowing down to white supremacy
Where are the folks who don’t fold their identity?
Successful, confident, wise
I’m not fighting or dying for an ignorant society
It’s not all, deeply aware
It seems those who climb the mountain have this tendency
I’m not fighting for a race that fights against me
I’m not dying for a race that rubs shoulders with my enemy
I can’t expect a transformation in totality
We can all dream of unification for our coveted community
