Domineering

Prevented us from reading 
Knew our intellect preceded them 
While we built pyramids
They were in caves, screaming for freedom
Hate became their “power”
Let’s divide, delude our way into reason
They couldn’t even bathe themselves properly 
Greed and money disoriented our leaders into treason 


Even in color, white needs black for creation 
The day we know ourselves 
Is the day we will finally raise our nation 
It’s not us versus them
Surely, that is not a fair competition 
Us plus us – is the consensus for our generation
